Narcotic Report

The Narcotic Report lists narcotic drugs, controlled drugs, and/or targeted substances that were dispensed during the report period. The report can be used to identify patient or prescriber trends that should be investigated and/or documented.

  • Start Date and End Date - includes prescriptions that were dispensed in the specified date range.

  • Drug - generates the report for the specified drug.

  • Group - generates the report for the specified group.

  • Narcotic Classification - generates the report for a specific group of drugs that were dispensed during the report period. Options include:

    • Reportable - generates the report for all reportable drugs.

    • All N/C/T's- generates the report for all narcotic drugs, controlled drugs, and targeted substances.

    • Targeted - generates the report for all targeted substances.

    • Controlled - generates the report for all controlled drugs.

    • Narcotic - generates the report for all narcotic drugs.

  • Rx Date - sorts prescriptions chronologically by fill date in ascending order.

  • Doctor Name - sorts prescriptions by the doctor's last name in ascending order.

  • Generic Name - sorts prescriptions by the drug's generic name in ascending order.

  • Trade Name - sorts prescriptions by the drug's trade name in ascending order.
